Volunteering

Volunteers are at the heart of our organisation; we recognise that our reputation and achievements are built on the commitment of our volunteers.

Our volunteers enable us to provide valuable services and contribute to the lives of other people. Volunteers support people to reach their full potential, help shape the future of the organisation and improve the lives of local residents.

Northmoor Community Centre involves volunteers in the delivery of all its services, providing opportunities for individuals to contribute their time and skills in a number of ways. On average we have between 30 and 40 volunteers in the centre at any one time, all bringing their own ideas and experience and volunteering in the role they find most best for them.

We don’t have a typical volunteer as people get involved for a variety of reasons. Whether it’s the desire to help others, the need for work experience, the chance to meet new people or an interest in learning new skills, there are as many answers as there are volunteers.
